ChemData MiniApp 11 — Emergency Preparedness & Controls provides a structured workplace process for identifying chemical emergency scenarios and documenting the controls, resources and response arrangements needed to prepare for them.

It helps connect chemical hazards and workplace conditions to practical emergency preparedness.

The MiniApp supports:

• identifying credible chemical emergency scenarios
• recording chemicals and hazards involved
• identifying emergency controls and response resources
• recording spill and containment arrangements
• identifying emergency equipment and PPE
• recording notification and escalation requirements
• identifying emergency contacts and responsibilities
• considering access, evacuation and emergency information needs
• identifying preparedness gaps and corrective actions
• supporting periodic review and exercises
• printing and exporting records where supported

MiniApp 11 supports emergency preparedness but does not replace site emergency plans, emergency-service requirements, specialist advice, current SDS information or applicable fire, dangerous-goods, environmental and WHS requirements.

Users remain responsible for ensuring that information is current, applicable to the actual chemical or product being used and available to workers as required.
