Licence & Use Terms

SafeChemEdu courses, eBooks, downloads, templates, registers, facilitator materials, hosted applications and related resources are provided under a limited licence for authorised use. Purchase or access does not transfer unrestricted copying, redistribution, resale or public-sharing rights.

Effective date: 1 May 2026
Licence Scope

Licence types

The licence that applies depends on the product purchased and the scope stated on the relevant product page, Product Schedule, quotation, order or written agreement.

Individual / Named User Licence

For one authorised learner or user. Access credentials and licensed access are not transferable or shareable.

Small Team Licence

Where offered, for a defined internal team with an agreed number of authorised users or seats.

Organisation Licence

For agreed internal organisational use. Users, sites, roles, implementation scope and access conditions are defined in the applicable commercial agreement or Product Schedule.

Institution Licence

For approved educational use within an institution. Cohort, teaching, facilitator and delivery rights are limited to the agreed scope.

Other arrangements: Site-based access, facilitator delivery rights or other internal delivery permissions apply only where expressly offered or agreed in writing. They are not automatically included with an individual product purchase.

Hosted Applications

ChemData MiniApps and hosted software access

Where a ChemData MiniApp or other hosted SafeChemEdu application is purchased, the applicable licence, access term, authorised-user scope and entitlement are stated on the relevant product page and Product Schedule.

Standalone ChemData MiniApps

Unless a different written arrangement applies, standalone ChemData MiniApps are licensed to the named purchaser or authorised user under the applicable Individual Single-User Licence and Product Schedule.

Access is personal to the authorised user. Login credentials, entitlement links, access tokens or other authentication methods must not be shared with unauthorised users.

Suite, team and organisation access

Multi-user, site, organisation or Suite access is subject to the agreed commercial scope, including any user, site, role, implementation, configuration or access limits specified in the applicable quotation, agreement or Product Schedule.

Permitted Use

What authorised users may do

Subject to the licence purchased, authorised users may:

  • Access and use licensed materials for permitted internal learning, training or workplace purposes.
  • Download or print reasonable copies of resources that are expressly made available for download or printing.
  • Use templates, forms, registers and implementation resources within the licensed organisation where the applicable licence permits this.
  • Use hosted SafeChemEdu applications within the authorised user, site, team or organisation scope.
  • Retain permitted outputs or records generated through licensed products for legitimate internal workplace use.
Restrictions

Prohibited use

Unless SafeChemEdu expressly agrees otherwise in writing, licensed materials, LMS content, implementation resources, facilitator materials, downloads, software access, forms, registers, flowcharts and related intellectual property must not be:

  • Redistributed or publicly shared
  • Resold or sublicensed
  • Copied for external delivery
  • Uploaded to unauthorised LMS platforms
  • Uploaded to public websites, repositories or open platforms
  • Modified for commercial redistribution
  • Used outside the approved licence scope
  • Presented as the user’s own proprietary content
  • Used after access or entitlement has expired, been suspended or been terminated
  • Accessed through shared credentials by unauthorised users

Copyright, trade mark, branding or ownership notices must not be removed or obscured.

Organisations & Institutions

Internal use by licensed entities

Where an organisation or institution licence is purchased, use is limited to that licensed entity and its authorised personnel, learners or cohorts, subject to any stated seat, user, site, department, cohort, term or delivery limits.

A licence granted to one organisation or institution does not permit external commercial training, resale, sublicensing or delivery to unrelated entities unless those rights have been expressly granted in writing.

Digital Delivery

Digital access and technical controls

SafeChemEdu may provide licensed access through downloads, email delivery, customer accounts, LMS access, secure application login, entitlement controls or other electronic means.

SafeChemEdu may apply reasonable technical, account and entitlement controls to protect product integrity, security and licence compliance.

Intellectual Property

Ownership remains with SafeChemEdu or its licensors

All intellectual-property rights in the licensed materials and products remain with SafeChemEdu or the applicable licensor. No ownership rights transfer to the user except for the limited rights expressly granted under the applicable licence.

Third-party materials

Some content may refer to or incorporate third-party standards, names, marks, source materials or licensed media. Those rights remain with their respective owners.

Breach & Access Control

Breach of licence

If you breach these Licence & Use Terms, SafeChemEdu may suspend or terminate access and require you to stop using, reproducing or distributing the affected materials or services.

Access suspension

SafeChemEdu may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary for security protection, fraud prevention, licence breaches, unauthorised sharing, misuse, payment disputes or operational-integrity purposes.

Updates

Changes and updates

SafeChemEdu may revise, improve, replace or withdraw materials from time to time.

Continued access to updated materials, hosted services or new versions may depend on the product type, access period, licence status, renewal status or other terms stated in the applicable Product Schedule or agreement.

Legal Rights

Non-excludable rights

Nothing in these Licence & Use Terms excludes or limits any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

Professional Responsibility

Professional responsibility & limitation

SafeChemEdu materials, implementation resources, templates, operational guidance, audit-support activities, coaching, hosted tools and related services are provided for educational and workplace-support purposes.

SafeChemEdu does not accept responsibility or liability for site-specific implementation decisions, operational controls, legal-compliance outcomes, environmental performance, engineering controls, workplace incidents, organisational governance obligations, regulatory-enforcement outcomes or audit results.

Organisations, institutions, employers, facilitators, supervisors and authorised personnel remain responsible for their own workplace systems, operational controls, risk-management processes, legal obligations and implementation decisions.
