SafeChemEdu Team Leader Program

The Team Leader Program builds upon the Entry Level pathway and is designed for supervisors, leading hands, frontline coordinators, and workers preparing for leadership responsibilities.

The program focuses on chemical exposure pathways, workplace inspections, risk identification, toxicology fundamentals, site chemical management planning, and practical leadership responsibilities for managing chemicals in the workplace.

The program is delivered through a structured blended learning pathway supported by the SafeChemEdu reference text, downloadable resources, assessments, and workplace application activities.


Learning Outcomes

Upon completion learners should be able to:

  • Identify and assess workplace chemical hazards and exposure pathways
  • Understand toxicology principles relevant to workplace chemical management
  • Conduct basic workplace inspections and reviews
  • Contribute to site chemical management planning
  • Support compliance and workplace chemical risk controls
  • Understand leadership responsibilities within chemical management systems
